Had some planting to do before we left. Hope the little guys survive while we're gone. Thanks a lot to Andrew, who will be looking out for our cats and plants while we're gone!!!
The plane was delayed by 2 hours. When we got to Frankfurt, the trains were also late... lol. So much for German punctuality. We traveled at rush hour, as well, so we were squished in with lots of other people
This was dinner on the plane. Very plain and starchy. I asked for milk with the brownie and they said no. =) Saw a German guy eat his with a fork and knife.
This was breakfast. It was a cold croissant with some kind of cheese inside? It was filling, but I wouldn't say it was good.
Our first meal in Bonn: Bauernpfanne and Bonner Hackbraten. We ordered it from a restaurant in a little square, and because it was Friday night, there were people everywhere. The meals were delicious, and had a creamy, homemade quality to them. I'm not used to eating peas and carrots, and these were very good.
Woke up around 2:30 to techno and drunk people chatting. There's no AC at this hotel, and our room happens to be right above a bus stop. I guess we'll buy earplugs.
